Make a MAndalA

Would you like to learn how to make your own mandala? For many years, people have celebrated the mandala as a tool for healing, meditation and insight.

Hold yourself in a meditative experience as you create your own mandala that can be used to return to that place of inner peace when you need it most. You can choose to make something intricate, or preferably to create a soulful mandala using colour and strokes.

Create an Abundance Mandala

We all are worthy of abundance in our lives, and actively choosing to welcome it can have a profound effect on your life. Mandalas are a beautiful way to mindfully create, and provide an ongoing sense of peace when you put them up somewhere to meditate on throughout the day. Creating a mandala can help with stress reduction, mindfulness, emotional wellbeing and to increase creativity.

 Step 1

Find a comfortable and quiet area where you can create. Gather some paint, pencils, pastels or pens along with your therapy pad. You will also need a ruler and compass or circular objects to create the framework, or otherwise you can create the frame freehand if you wish.

Step 2

Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths, and then open them and focus your page. Set an intention to welcome abundance in to your life.

Step 3

Using a ruler, find the centre of the page and create a dot or circle, symbolising the golden source of your abundance.

Step 4

Create some circles around the abundance centre, as many as you would like.

Step 5

Inside each circle, use colours, symbols and themes to fill it in.

Step 6

Put your pen down and take in your artwork for a few moments. Is there anything else that you need to add?

What emotions or feelings did you experience while creating your abundance mandala?

Do you feel more connected with the path to abundance in your life?

Is there anything that your mandala is telling you? If you feel up to it, take a photo of your artwork for your journal.
