I have created this art therapy blog as a gift to help you to shed what is no longer needed and connect to your most joyful life purpose. However, this blog is not a replacement for therapy and medical assistance, it can simply be used as an additional support on your journey.
Gentle Healing with Art Therapy
The key to flourishing in life lies in gently holding and healing our own fear of our pain, which I believe is often caused by resistance to change. We can then allow our wounds to be softly and safely acknowledged so that they can heal. Unfortunately, our human nature makes this difficult as our experience of pain can close off the parts of the brain that allow us to communicate verbally.
The Beauty of Art Therapy
Thus art therapy is such a blessing; it allows us to communicate freely through somatic movement. In doing so, it transcends beyond the ego’s resistance to acknowledging our pain and into a subconscious state that holds our pain in a place of healing and understanding.
Therefore, with the assistance of art therapy, you can shed the parts of yourself that are no longer needed, and reach a place of joyful abundance. So I truly hope that art therapy can aid you through your own journey to true peace, love and self-acceptance.
